Responsive Website:

On this achievement I have used:

1. HTML & CSS,

That is creating HTML pages, CSS Layout & Box Model, Styling Fonts & Colors.

2. Bootstrap and Plug-Ins,

That is Navigation, applying Bootstrap glyphicon components for Contact page, and Bootstrap collapse plug-in to create Accordion for FAQ page, Advanced Images(Hero images), Using Bootstrap grid system to create columns for small desktop (md) and mobile (xs) screens,and Single Page Scrolling Navigation (Transforming website navigation to create one long scrolling page with multiple sections (Image Carousel(Home), About, Work, Contact INFO, and FAQ'S).

Interactive Website:

On this achievement I have used:

1. HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery,

That is Semantic HTML & Footers(creating footer with copyright symbol using HTML5 entity),HTML5 Forms(Creating a form with multiple input tags including textbox, email, and textarea and nest input groups inside of the form group),Modal Windows(Embed an iFrame inside of a modal window and adjusting its size and positioning with CSS,Linking jQuery media file to embed multimedia content (i.e. a resume)), Tooltips(Creating tooltip as a hover-box on a link or a button)

2. JavaScript and jQuery Foundations,

That is creating new .js file and correctly linking it to the HTML file,APIs(Inserted interactive Google Maps using JavaScript v3 API)

Summary:

  • Hero Header with Image Carousel that features main marketing message.
  • About section.
  • Work Section.
  • Contact section with glyphicons for Email, Phone, Address.
  • FAQ section containing additional information in an Accordion.
  • Social media buttons in a semantic footer.
  • Modal window with my resume.
  • jQuery plugin to create a parallax effect.
  • Contact form with a character count styled with JavaScript.
  • Interactive work samples that respond to user behavior with JavaScript.
  • And finally upload it to a server(BitBaloon)

Why did you decide to switch your career to become a web developer?

As a result of desier for more,I was an IT Technician as a Desktop Support. So as you keep searching for more you realise that Desktop/Technical Support either hardware or software is actually the lower side of IT, and then you will not afford to settle for less.

Where will you be in 5years time?

First three years will be spent as entry level web developer and freelancer.Then the remaining two years as a senior web developer specialist and known freelancer while working on my own projects like prototypes on my new inventions.

What are your commitments to CareerFoundry?

Sleep only if I have approached at least one excersise. Motive is the motivation.
